To meet the growing demand for air聽travel, Istanbul is building a new聽airport located on the European聽side of the country, adjacent to聽the Black Sea. After all four stages聽are completed, the new airport is聽expected to increase passenger聽capacity from 75 million to 200聽million passengers per year, will聽host up to 200 airlines, and fly to聽more than 350 destinations, making聽it the world鈥檚 biggest airport.
Our role as air-side designer on聽the project includes designing the airport masterplan and airside聽infrastructure, including the聽runways, pavements and roads.
